Natalie is a self-shooting documentary Director whose work has won an Emmy, an RTS Award, “Best Documentary Programme” at the Broadcast Digital Awards and “Best Director - Documentary” at the Alliance of Women in Media “Gracie” Awards. She has also been nominated for a Grierson, a BAFTA and two further Broadcast Awards.

She has made prime-time documentaries for major UK and international broadcasters and has a wealth of experience in difficult access negotiation and building relationships with sensitive contributors.

Natalie is known for her compelling storytelling, journalistic edge and passion for human narratives, and has extensive filming experience in remote and highly challenging environments.

Natalie has a proven track record of crafting single films and taking them through the edit, as well as working on high-profile documentary series. In 2024, she released her debut feature documentary which she co-directed with Oscar-winners Jimmy Chin and Elizabeth Chai Vasarhelyi for National Geographic Documentary Films.

Natalie is a member of BAFTA and The Explorers Club and is a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society. She has served on Awards Juries for BAFTA, The Director’s Guild of America and The Explorers Club.

Natalie was selected to be part of Reclaim The Frame’s 8th Filmonomics Lab for filmmakers working on their first or second feature films. She has also been selected for the Berlinale Toolbox and Inclusion Scheme for 2024.

As part of the Endurance22 Expedition Team, Natalie has been awarded the Royal Geographical Society’s Geographical Medal and The Explorers Club’s Citation of Merit Award.
